From Ms. Olson:

“We packed 200 art packs with pencil pouches filled with #2 pencils, sharpeners, colored pencils, fruit snack, & put in a tote bag with a sketch book, pack of markers, an original piece of art work by the NSHS art classes & printmaking classes & a note of support written by each volunteer.  These art bags are at the request of our NGO, Street Grace, that we have worked with on #MYFREEDOMDAY for over 7 years.  This year they asked to switch it up from our usual toiletry bags, but instead provide their clients that are children that are survivors of human trafficking with an outlet in the form of art.  As an art magnet, this came so naturally for North Springs.

“We also packed 200 medical pouches with Neosporin, Band-aids, Tylenol, wipes, lip balm, packs of tissue, fruit snack pack, and a note of support written by each volunteer.  These medical packs were at the request of our newer NGO, Table on Delk, that we have been working with for the past 3 years.  They asked for us to provide these for the survivors of human trafficking that come through their doors. 

“This would not be possible without our awesome volunteer students and families that met our goal by donating over $2000 and for all of our teachers for helping to spread awareness in your classrooms.”
