Sarah Meiselman:

Hi, Sarah Meiselman here, co-editor of the Oracle. I can’t believe this school year is over. I had so much fun being an editor this year. I learned how to write for an audience of students my own age, focus articles on more local events, and get out of my comfort zone to interview people.

Thank you to all of my fellow staff members for creating interesting, well-written, and genuine articles that I was excited to read, edit, and post to the world. Thank you to every reader of the Oracle. We love when you enjoy our articles so please stop by the website when school starts back up next year. I hope everyone has a fun summer with lots of pool visits and time in the sun!

Mairen Brown:

It is the end of the year, and as much as I have been waiting for this year to end so I could be done with all the homework and waking up early, I am not excited to say goodbye to the Oracle and the amazing staff I have spent the year working side by side with. 

This year I have learned so much about myself, and I am so excited to take everything I have learned from Mr. Throne and the rest of the Oracle staff to my new school. 

Kemmie, you are beyond talented. I hope that you continue to write for the Oracle and keep sharing your creativity and POV with North Springs’. I’m really going to miss you!

Sarah, thank you for teaching me so much this year. I hope that whatever school I end up at, I can take the many writing tips I have learned from you. Thank you for being the best co-Editor I could have asked for. I am so glad we got to do this together.

Evyn, continue to share your amazing advice and write pieces that are unique to you! You are so genuine and authentically you, and I hope you never lose that in your writing. 

Sophia, you are without a doubt going places, and going far! Thank you for sharing your artistic abilities with us. You enhanced all of our writing this year, and I hope you continue to share your many talents with North Springs’.

And last but not least, Mr. Throne. Thank you for sponsoring this class and for teaching us not only how to write but the history of journalism in school. You made this class about so much more than just writing and posting. You gave us experiences and advice and shared with us local organizations and guest speakers in the fields we desire to be in, and I can’t say thank you enough. I am a better writer because of you. 

Thank you for reading the North Springs’ Oracle, reading my work, and watching me grow from a freshman with the desire to know all this journalism all the way to a rising junior in high school ready to share all the amazing things she has learned. I’ve made so many memories, and I am so excited to see what the future holds.
